We
conducted India's First ever SIV Course :) thanks to the oppertunity given
and trust shown by Army Adventure Wing we conducted a SIV course for 20 pilots.
Course was conducted at Ranjit Sagar reservoir in Punjab. After some teething
trouble with winch machine everything went smothly and course was concluded successfuly.
We will be conducting SIV course atleast once every year now. next one is being
planned Sept end.
One
of the best XC season
we ever had: Spring 2008 proved to be simply GREAT for XC flying. For
first time we had people flying back over big mountains to Manali and
back to bir too. Though i was busy teaching we had some great flight
with XC students. One of my student with less than 100hrs flying time
was able to do her first 100km flight in about 3 and 1/2 hours.
Trip to bulgaria this summer was excellent.
It is one of the better flying site i been to and people were very
nice. Not to mention wine cheese and food. And did I metinion its
cheap..well not as cheap as india but cheaper then western europe for
sure. I am planning to make it an annual feature to go there with some
students for XC coaching and holidays. Also had the excellent
oppertunity to work with
Christian Quest, assisting him with scoring of Bulgarian World Cup.
