PG-gurukul was started in 2002 by me after i returned from UK with my BHPA instructor certification.
When i was learning Paragliding in India in mid 90s I went through some
saddening experiences with people claiming to be instructors. At that
time i made a promie to myself that i will not teach anyone till I have
been Judged by my peers to be competent upto the international level. i
was lucky enough to keep my promise and to continue working on making

Since 2002 many students have learned to fly with us. its still a small operation with all teaching still supervised me though there are people assisting me all the time. PG-gurukul is currently planning to hold its third SIV course in India. PG gurukul has been providing coaching to India Army's Adventure wing. Their team is planning is now competetive enough to do international competitions and their pilots have already participated in a few international events including one pilot being in Indian paragliding team to Asian chanpionship 2010. PG-gurukul has just finished helping Indian Army organise Army Paragliding Championship for third time PG-gurukul is also Importer/dealer for few good brands of paragliding equipment like Axis para, Nivuik, woody valley.. thus besides training also dedicated to bringing best equipment to indian pilots. At PG-Gurukul we provide comprehensive theoretical training besides the practicle part to enable pilots to make competent decisions in future. Nearly All levels of flying teaching is covered, from begginer to competition flying and instability exercises. PG-Gurukul is Indias only school capable of providing its students with Internationally recognisable certification the IPPI certificates. read more about IPPI here on FAI site. |
