If you are planning to learn Paragliding these are the places to begin with.....

These are not in order of recommendation or for that matter in any order. Posted as the information reaches me.

1. Manali: Lots of people teaching here.

2. Bir: Billing, the local site is rated among best ten in world and is excellent site for intermediate level and cross country coaching. A basic site is about 13 Km from Bir, so all level of instruction is available along with very competent instructors.

3. Bilaspur: (info removed due to protest by local schools, new content will be as submitted by them, when i recieve it.: gurpreet) been more than a year now and now content recieved.

4. Kharapathar: Wg cdr Anuj tiwari runs training courses in this tribal area (Saaroru / H.P) though he lives in Noida Ph: 011-8-4535370  email : anujt@vsnl.com

5. Uttranchal: Pouri Gharwal is the place where More-Adventures is running a school.... Manish Joshi is there chief instructor  (trained in Austria and Germany they say..... .there contact :  www.moreadventures-india.com/advtr.html, www.moreadventures-india.com/aboutus.html .They are running basic as well as cross-country (advanced courses). Well got to check them out ...looking foward to meeting them.

6. Delhi: As far as I know there are two parties running Winch Launch based training programes around Delhi.

7.  Bihar: Yes someone is running a school in Bihar(two serdi brothers......details awaited)

Palat teaching PLF. Ex- Airforce are big on PLF all over world..i saw same involvement in UK too. But how do you PLF with modern airbag or bumpbag harness? :) no offence intended though. Shows safety is on their mind.
